In short

The Editor is free, with a daily limit. No account, nothing to buy.
Send only what you have the right to send, and leave out people and anything private.
The answers are written by an AI. They are opinion, satire and editing: not advice, not a valuation, not proof.
Your rights as a consumer are not affected by anything here.

1. Who provides the service

The Editor at editor.sofauxreal.com, including the version installed on a Home Screen, is provided by Doukas Chatzidoukas – Paris Kamarinopoulos O.E., a general partnership registered in Greece, G.E.MI. 069732203000, VAT EL998558970, 26 Vasileos Konstantinou Avenue, 116 35 Athens, Greece, telephone +30 211 412 9651, email notes@sofauxreal.com. SoFAUXREAL is its publishing brand. The Editor is the interactive editorial voice of SoFAUXREAL.

2. What the Editor is

You show the Editor a photograph or a text. It answers with a line, corrections or questions, and, if you ask, checks sources for what it thinks it recognises. It is new, it is free and in public beta, and it may change, pause or stop. By using it you accept these terms. You must be at least 18 to use it.

3. Free, with limits

Each connection has a daily allowance, at present three successful uses a day for photographs and texts together, and the whole service has daily and monthly spending limits. When a limit is reached, the Editor closes until the next day (UTC). The allowance is a limit, not a promise; we may change it.

4. What counts as a use

Each photograph or text you send is one use. The questions after a text and the source check after a photograph belong to the same use. If the Editor cannot answer because of an error on our side or our provider's, the use is given back. If you close the page after the answer has started, it counts.

5. What you send

Send only what you have the right to send. Leave out faces, names, documents, number plates and anything private, especially about other people. Do not send anything unlawful, offensive or that infringes someone else's rights. You are responsible for what you send.

6. Your content

You keep every right you have in your photographs and texts. You allow us, and our providers acting for us, to process them to give you the answer and, for texts, to count whether the Editor struck one of the 54 selling words on our fixed list, as described in the Privacy page. We do not publish your photographs or texts and we do not keep them; the counts contain no word of yours.

7. The Editor's answers

The answers are generated automatically by an artificial intelligence system (Claude, by Anthropic), instructed by SoFAUXREAL to write in its house style. They are opinion, satire and editing. They can be wrong, sometimes confidently so. They are not a valuation, an appraisal, an authentication or proof of origin, and not legal, financial, property or other professional advice. Identifications are graded as explained on The Editor page; none is a guarantee, even when sources are shown. Do not rely on an answer for a decision to buy, sell, rent or insure. The Editor is instructed not to invent a maker, a date, a source or a provenance, and to say when it does not know, but it can still make mistakes.

8. Sharing the answers

You may share the Editor's answers and the story card for personal, non-commercial purposes, with the SoFAUXREAL mark and the AI notice left in place and without presenting them as written by a person. Any other use, in particular commercial use, needs our written permission.

9. What is not allowed

Automated access or scraping; getting round the limits, for example by changing connection repeatedly; attempts to make the Editor reveal its instructions or say what it has been told not to; using the answers to harass or mock a real person; and anything that overloads, disrupts or harms the service.

10. The name and the pages

The SoFAUXREAL.™ name and mark is a trade mark of Christos-Paris Kamarinopoulos (EU trade mark application 019419565), used by Doukas Chatzidoukas – Paris Kamarinopoulos O.E. under licence. The design, texts and sketches of the app are © Doukas Chatzidoukas – Paris Kamarinopoulos O.E.. Nothing in these terms gives you a right to use them beyond section 8.

11. Availability

We try to keep the Editor running, but we do not promise that it will always be available, fast or free of errors. We may change, suspend or end it, or block access that breaks these terms.

12. Responsibility

The service is free and provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions you take on the strength of an answer, or for indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, or any other liability that the law does not allow to be limited, and nothing affects your mandatory rights as a consumer.

13. Questions and complaints

Write to notes@sofauxreal.com. We reply as soon as we can, normally within 30 days. If you are a consumer in Greece you may also turn to the Consumer Ombudsman (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή, www.synigoroskatanaloti.gr), the alternative dispute resolution body; if you live in another EU country, to the consumer dispute body of that country.

14. Law and courts

Greek law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live and may bring proceedings in its courts. Otherwise the courts of Athens have jurisdiction.

15. Changes to these terms

We date every version. Changes apply to uses after they are published; important changes are announced in the app.
